Term of Use

These terms are translated from the original French version according to French laws.

These general terms and conditions of use (referred to as “T&Cs”) aim to provide the legal framework for the terms of provision of the website and services and to define the conditions for access to and use of the services by “the User”.

These T&Cs are accessible on the website under the “T&Cs” section.

Any registration or use of the website implies the User’s unconditional and unrestricted acceptance of these T&Cs. When registering on the website via the registration form, each User expressly accepts these T&Cs by checking the box preceding the following text: “I acknowledge that I have read and understood the T&Cs and I accept them”.

In the event of non-acceptance of the T&Cs stipulated in this agreement, the User must refrain from accessing the services offered by the website.

Valérie Alvic reserves the right to modify the content of these T&Cs at any time.

Article 1: Legal Notice

The website is hosted by the company o2switch, whose registered office is located at 222-224 Boulevard Gustave Flaubert; 63000 Clermont-Ferrand.

ARTICLE 2: Access to the website

The valeriealvic.com website allows the User free access to the following services:

The website is accessible free of charge anywhere to any User with internet access. All costs incurred by the User to access the service (computer hardware, software, Internet connection, etc.) are at the User’s expense.

Non-member Users do not have access to the reserved services. To do so, they must register by filling out the form. By accepting to register for the reserved services, the member User agrees to provide sincere and accurate information regarding their civil status and contact details, in particular their email address.

To access the services, the User must then identify themselves using their username and password, which will be communicated to them after registration.

Any User regularly registered as a member may also request to be unsubscribed by going to the dedicated page in their personal space. This will take effect within a reasonable period.

Any event due to a case of force majeure resulting in a malfunction of the website or server and subject to any interruption or modification in the event of maintenance, does not engage the responsibility of the company Elles Sont Meraki. In these cases, the User thus accepts not to hold the editor liable for any interruption or suspension of service, even without prior notice.

The User has the possibility to contact the website by email at the editor’s email address communicated in ARTICLE 1.

ARTICLE 3: Data Collection

The website ensures the User a collection and processing of personal information in respect of privacy in accordance with the law n°78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to computers, files and freedoms.

Under the Data Protection Act, dated January 6, 1978, the User has a right to access, rectify, delete and oppose their personal data. The User may exercise this right:

ARTICLE 4: Intellectual Property

The trademarks, logos, signs, as well as all content on the site (text, images, sound…) are protected by the Intellectual Property Code, and specifically by copyright law.

The User must obtain prior authorization from the site for any reproduction, publication, or copying of the various contents. They agree to use the contents of the site strictly for private purposes, and any commercial or advertising use is strictly prohibited.

Any total or partial representation of this site by any means whatsoever, without the express permission of the operator of the Internet site, would constitute an infringement sanctioned by article L 335-2 and following of the Intellectual Property Code.

It is reminded in accordance with article L122-5 of the Intellectual Property Code that the User who reproduces, copies, or publishes the protected content must cite the author and its source.

ARTICLE 5: Liability and force majeure

Valerie Alvic shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damage caused to the User’s equipment when accessing the site valeriealvic.com, and resulting either from the use of equipment that does not meet the specifications indicated in Article 2, or from the appearance of a bug or incompatibility.

Valerie Alvic shall also not be held liable for indirect damages (such as loss of market share or loss of opportunity) resulting from the use of the site valeriealvic.com.

The site valeriealvic.com may not be held liable in the event of a breach by the User of his/her obligations, particularly in the event of the transmission of illegal content.

The site valeriealvic.com reserves the right to interrupt, temporarily suspend or modify access to all or part of the site, without notice, in order to maintain or for any other reason, without this interruption entitling the User to any obligation or compensation.

In the event of force majeure, as defined by case law, the site valeriealvic.com shall be released from its obligations.

ARTICLE 6: Hypertext links

Hypertext links may be present on the site valeriealvic.com. The User is informed that by clicking on these links, he/she will leave the site valeriealvic.com. Valerie Alvic has no control over the web pages to which these links lead and shall not be held liable for their content.

ARTICLE 8: Applicable law and jurisdiction

Failing this, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts in accordance with the rules of procedural law in force.

ARTICLE 9: Acceptance of the T&Cs

The User acknowledges having read these T&Cs and accepts them without reservation by checking the box provided for this purpose before proceeding with the registration process. The User acknowledges that he/she has the necessary capacity to enter into a contract and to accept these T&Cs.
